Admission Requirements

• Examination Requirements: Students should carefully review the admission requirements of their desired program. 
• Submit your application: Complete the online application through the Ontario University Application Center (OUAC) or Lakehead University's website. Please ensure that all required documents, such as transcripts and letters of recommendation, are submitted by the deadline. 
• Transcript: Submit your official high school transcript or post-secondary transcript (if applicable) directly to the university. Transcripts must demonstrate completion of required courses and meet minimum grade requirements. 
• English Proficiency: International students or students for whom English is not their primary language may be required to demonstrate English proficiency through a standardized test such as TOEFL or IELTS.

• Portfolio, pre-admission interview or test
• Application Fee: If applicable, please pay a non-refundable application fee. Eligible students may receive a tuition waiver. 
• Admission Decision: Once all application materials are received, the University will review your application. Admission decisions are typically communicated through the applicant portal or via email. 
• Acceptance and Confirmation: If accepted, the student must confirm  acceptance of the offer and make the required deposit within the specified deadline.
• Final Transcript: Once you have completed all of your ongoing courses, submit your final transcript to the university to complete your enrollment. 
• Orientation and Registration: Attend an orientation session and register for courses before the semester begins.
